Ok so we’ve had this thing for about 3 months now. Kids love it (mostly aged 6-9). No rust or scratches on it despite these heathens beating the living daylights out of it. The “spider web” is the best part. Adds a cushion for crash landings, kids go underneath to make forts, easily converts into a pterodactyl nest, while moonlighting as a black widow spider’s deadly web lair. I’m a small Portuguese woman of meager stature and upper body strength, and I can easily drag it around the yard whenever we mow. I also get to “play” on it from time to time, whenever I drag it into the sunny spot of yard and use it as a drying dome for our California king linen duvet. So that’s a real plus in my book. I watched as my brilliant mechanical engineer husband put it together. The directions were not good. If I had to do it on my own it would still be in the box. But he managed to figure it out while teaching our 7 year old some new adult words. I did have to pitch in and hold some parts in place while he screwed in bolts. Make sure you read the directions all the way through BEFORE you begin, since things like screw insertion direction really matter. Overall a solid purchase, but I can promise you it will be a gift-with-purchase when we sell our house, because there’s no way in god’s green earth we are taking it apart to move.We are about to test out this with a lot of kids coming our to stay for the weekend. The ease of putting together. Step one was easy, I did it by myself, step two follow instructions to the letter, we ended up having to take apart about half of step two and redo, we had the bolts in backwards, ouch. not the same as step one. It took us an hour maybe an hour and 1/2 even with taking apart and petting back together. We have not added the mat yet, It looked like we had to take it apart again to put it in so waiting until children arrive.Assembly is easiest with 2 people, follow the revised directions the seller sends and you will have no issues. We had 1 damaged bar when the dome initially arrived, I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement part in just a couple of days! We added lights so it feels like a fort at night for the kids. We are really happy with the climbing dome and with the customer service.Great buy. Kids 6 and 8 love it! Solid construction. Definitely need 2 pairs of hands to put together.Very sturdy! Two people to assemble is ideal!
